It is 1:30am. My eyes are doing their best to stay open and I am fighting random swinging of little arms from hitting me in the face.
Time to write a blog post!
I am a mom now and boy is it different than I thought it would be.
I still don’t believe in the concept that you are never ready for a baby. I felt ready. I did a really good job researching. I think I just searched for the wrong information to be prepared. I spent hours looking up how to care for a baby before my son came and I just ended up “baby book smart.”
I feel the need to pass along what I have learned on the job in the past few months. I hope mom’s to be and fresh new moms will find this and have a bit more of the right info I didn’t have.
Don’t worry non mom folks though, while I will have a lot of baby posts for sure, I will have plenty Adulting help too.
I basically had to start from scratch with almost all my adulting habits. I was struggling to make sure I brushed my teeth at least once a day! I was the worst at adulting I have ever been in my adult life.
Needing to put so much of my time into caring for the tiny human made me prioritize and create very streamlined systems for taking care of myself. I just don’t have the time anymore to fit everything in with the way I used to do all my adulting tasks.
So welcome to the new chapter of pretending to be an adult! I can’t wait to share what I have learned with you!
