When Larry and I were peeping our house to sell we walked through the house making a list of all the little updates to make to the house spot would sell.
We decided to paint, fix doors that didn’t close, and all the little things we ignored because they didn’t NEED to get done. Not like the plumbing and septic and insulation.
As we looked at our little updates we realized they had a big impact on our mood. Now every time I walked into that room with the fresh paint it made me happy to have such a nice space. I also wasn’t annoyed every time I tried to close that door and it popped back open.
So we decided in our new house that we would make sure to put a lot more time into the little things. We painted, replaced loose doorknobs, hung string lights, greased squeaky doors, and enjoyed our new home thoroughly.
What small thing can you do today that will make you happier? Even just a little.
